The title track is one of the band’s biggest hits, reaching #4 in 1978 on the Billboard Hot 100. The album sold over four million copies in the first month of its release, and has been certified 7x platinum by the RIAA in the US. This album also marked the beginning of the band’s legal fight with its record label Epic Records. Tom Scholz has been on record stating that executives at Epic pushed him and the band into releasing the album before they felt it was ready. He said of Don’t Look Back that “it was ridiculously short. It needed another song.” Their next album, Third Stage, was not released for another eight years, by which time the band and record label had parted ways and were fighting a courtroom battle that Boston ultimately won. There is no splits or tares and amaizingly no real nasty creases to mention. This must grade as excellent plus to near as mint in my opinion. Insert This is the original thick card type picture lyric record sleeve insert as new. The Vinyl. This vinyl looks barely played a minimal amount of times only in my opinion No visable scratches or at least audio sounding marks on the vinyl. This looks unplayed in my opinion Near Mint copy: Audio: I have played this vinyl at very loud volume both sides on a top system. The audio is exceptionally clear and bright without any signs of distortion or that this has been over played in any way at all. Stunning vibrant sound only found like this on the earliest pressings. Audio graded at least Excellent plus to good as it gets through out no loud clicks or pops. Summery: Exceptional sounding original copy. A joy to play and listen to. Highly collectable like this.
